Curry leaves 7 leaves
Oil 1 ts sp
Asafoetida ¼ tea sp
Turmeric ¼ tea sp
Chilli powder ½ tea sp
Pepper powder ¼ tea sp
Salt enough to taste


Heat a fry pan and pour oil into it. To the hot oil add asafoetida and then add potatoes (cut in cubes) and sauté until potatoes form a golden crust on it. To this add, curry leaves, salt and turmeric, mix well and close it with a lid to cook for 10 minutes, stirring in between. To the cooked potatoes add chilli powder and pepper powder, mix well. Roast the potatoes for two more minutes until they form a golden brown crust.


  • Instead of stirring with a ladle, toss the pan to avoid mashing of potatoes.
