Scraped coconut ¾ 150mlcup
Dried red chilly 3 nos
Cumin seed 1½ tea spoons
Salt enough to taste
Turmeric powder ¼ tea spoon
Curry leaves 7-10
Oil 2 tea spoons
Mustard ½ teaspoon
Water 3¼ 150ml cups

Preparation

In a pressure cooker, add thoor dal and 1½ cups of water close the lid and allow it to boil. When the steam rushes out, place the weight and pressure cook (5-6 whistles)

Let the pressure come down and then open the lid. Add cucumber, pumpkin, salt, turmeric, 1½ cups of water and close it again, pressure cook at medium flame until it whistles once

Blend coconut with 2 dried red chillies, cumin seed and ¼ cup of water to a smooth paste

Open the pressure cooker once the steam is gone and add the coconut paste and let it boil thoroughly until the raw smell turns out. Remove the cooker from the burner

Heat a tadka pan and pour oil. Add mustard once the oil is hot. Add 1 dried red chilly (cut it to small pieces before adding). Add curry leaves to the oil and pour the mixture in to the curry
